Responsibilities
The successful
candidate will be responsible for project management; geotechnical and
seismic engineering
analysis, report writing; and business development. The successful
candidate will work with fellow staff to execute projects and pursuits. The primary focus will be on
serving public sector and private sector clients in the infrastructure,
institutional, and industrial market areas.

Direct and
execute projects including staff assignments. |
 |
Conduct
geotechnical and seismic engineering analysis and prepare
reports. |
 |
Direct and
conduct field exploration (on land and over water) and
construction observation work. |
 |
Provide
senior-level review of proposals and reports, and ensure that
commitments to clients are met. |
 |
Participate in
proposal preparation and presentation. |
 |
Responsible for
mentoring and training junior staff, and assisting in business
development, recruitment, and hiring. |
 |
Work closely
with group members to foster teamwork at all levels of the
company. |
 |
Excellent
understanding and knowledge of geotechnical and seismic
engineering and related disciplines. |
 |
Proficiency in
project management is required. |
 |
Personally
supports and encourages support for continuous improvement of
the company's processes including, but not limited to, the Fugro
Atlantic safety program. |
 |
Performs other
duties as assigned. |
Requirements
 |
M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering. |
 |
Registered/licensed engineer. |
 |
9 or more years of
experience preferred. |
 |
Be a
well-rounded engineer, able to provide creative and practical
solutions to meet client needs. |
 |
Excellent problem
solving skills; ability to resolve both technical and personnel
issues relevant to the job. |
 |
The individual
will be expected to be a leader for the group, and set an
example consistent with Fugro's standards. |
 |
The individual
is expected to have excellent interpersonal skills that include:
the ability to work effectively with peers, subordinates, and
superiors. Must have an excellent ability to communicate

Computer
literate in geotechnical and seismic engineering analyses
programs, as well as word processing, spreadsheets, and other
conventional business programs. |

processes including, but not limited to, the company's safety
program. |
 |
Other duties as
assigned. |
 |
Possession of a
valid driver's license and acceptable DMV driving
record. |
 |
Must
successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug
screening. |
